Hello everyone! It’s been quite a while since the last update we gave on StudioCMS UI (almost a year at this point!), so it’s time to catch you up on the (not so) latest updates to our beloved library.

Back in January, we actually released version 0.4 to make it easier to develop StudioCMS itself by making some adjustments to how the library works. Up until April, we were hard at work patching that version to fix the various issues that arose during development on our CMS. After that, at least for outside developers, we stopped working on the library. Were we abandoning the project?

Truth be told, we just got a little ahead of ourselves with the components we wanted to implement. Plans were made immediately for StudioCMS UI v0.5, an Update which was meant to introduce new components that we needed across the ecosystem for our various websites. We even had a new team member, RATIU5, join us to help with the design of the components. But while working on the components, we noticed how many things needed changing. So we decided to work on a separate v1.0.0 branch and accumulate our efforts to stabilize the library.

So this is where we’re at now! After about 6 months of on-and-off work, a few slower phases and a lot of lines of code written, we present to you: StudioCMS UI v1.0! The PR introduced 15k new lines of code and closed all but one of our issues on the repository, with many improvements across the board that you get to utilize now. Here’s a couple highlights:

Thanks for sticking with us all this time! This release makes StudioCMS UI the first package we’ve ever stabilized, and we’re incredibly proud of the work we’ve put in and the result we’ve achieved. We hope you build cool things with this library! You can check the library out at ui.studiocms.dev.

Until next time.

~ Lou and the StudioCMS team
